Pequot Lakes Community Library <br />Minutes to meeting of June 21, 2011 <br />Chairman John Longnecker brought meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. <br />Present: Jean Clark, John Longnecker, David Anderson, Claire Nagel and Sam Hennes. <br />Minutes of last meeting were approved. Motion by David Anderson, seconded by Claire <br />Nagel. <br />Financial report presented by David Anderson. <br />The total of certificates of deposit is $65,083.30; total library checking is 12,084.74; total <br />in the library building fund checking account is $13, 516.62. Friends of the Library total <br />on hand is $18,947.32. <br />A motion was made by John Longnecker to have Nancy Adams ask of the Larsen <br />Foundation if we may make two years' worth of payments in one year without an interest <br />penalty. If the foundation agrees, payment for two years will be made. Motion seconded <br />by Sam Hennies. <br />Motion by John Longnecker to issue a check from the Library Building Fund Checking <br />account to Tom Adams in the amount of $3,000 toward the repayment of his loan, which <br />will bring the balance owed Mr. Adams to $13,000. Seconded by Sam Hennies. <br />Motion to accept the financial report by Claire Nagel, seconded by Sam Hennies. <br />John Longnecker has written a history of our library and is looking for places to publish <br />it. Discussion will be continued at next meeting. <br />There was a short discussion about a float for the parade on the 4t` of July. Nothing was <br />resolved. <br />Motion by Jean Clark, seconded by Sam Hennies, to adjourn at 6:30 p.m. <br />`.. <br />
