6.1. Amendment to Preliminary Plat for RV Resort at the Preserve — Dan <br /> Helbling <br /> Staff report by Chuck Marohn. Mr. Marohn noted that the applicant is <br /> requesting an amendment to the previous preliminary plat. The applicant <br /> has acquired the parcel that was surrounded by the previously approved <br /> resort. The plat would create 172 lots of which 168 are for RV units, one <br /> for a community building, one for a sales building, one for a caretaker and <br /> a final lot for common space. <br /> MAYOR MALECHA MOVED TO AMEND THE PRELIMINARY PLAT OF <br /> THE RV RESORT VILLAGE AT THE PRESERVE BASED ON TEN <br /> FINDINGS OF FACT AND TWO CONDITIONS RECOMMENDED BY <br /> THE PLANNING COMMISSION AS LISTED IN THE PLANNING <br /> COMMISSION REPORT TO THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL DATED <br /> MARCH 20, 2006. COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 6.2. Ordinance Amendment governing the Operation and Rehabilitation of <br /> Extractive Uses <br /> Staff report by Chuck Marohn. Mr. Marohn noted that the Planning <br /> Commission has been working to tighten up the language in Section 8.5 of <br /> the land use ordinance pertaining to extractive uses and restoration. The <br /> Planning Commission's goal was to ensure that there is sufficient <br /> information provided to appropriately review an application and to protect <br /> the long-term interests of the community. The Planning Commission has <br /> unanimously recommended the adoption of the proposed ordinance <br /> amendment. <br /> MAYOR MALECHA MOVED TO ADOPT ORDINANCE 07-03 <br /> AMENDING SECTION 8.5 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE GOVERNING <br /> THE OPERATION AND REHABILITATION OF EXTRACTIVE USES. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 5-0. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER ORASKOVICH MOVED TO APPROVE SUMMARY <br /> PUBLICATION OF ORDINANCE 07-03. COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 6.3. Administrative Fines <br /> Staff report by Chuck Marohn. Mr. Marohn noted that the Planning <br /> Commission has been working with the Police Chief to develop an <br /> administrative fine designation for zoning offenses. The Planning <br /> Commission is recommending that the proposed policy be adopted. <br />
