Pequot Lakes Police Dept <br />Report to the City Council <br />May 2011 <br />For the month of May the Department logged 229 individual ICRs. <br />Current Activities: <br />During the month, the Reserves, Full -Time and Part-Time Officers conducted 117 <br />individual security checks of businesses and homes with no open door found. <br />On May 2 °a, the Pequot Lakes Police Department did their annual training with Hibbing <br />Community College. The Officers trained in hazardous materials, blood bourne <br />pathogens, use of force, FATS (Fire Arm Training System) and taser. The Officers and <br />Reserve Officers also trained in defensive tactics. <br />On May 7t', Reserve Officer Jesse Omberg assisted Breezy Point Police Department with <br />their annual Bike Rodeo held at Eagleview Elementary. The Bike Rodeo teaches kids <br />bicycle safety and the bicycle laws. <br />On May 15th, K -9 Officer Josh Gartner attended the K -9 Recertification held in Mankato, <br />MN with K -9 Shadow. <br />On May 17t' and 18th, Officer Chad Nangle attended a Street Survival training held by <br />Calibre Press in Moorhead, MN.
