Pequot <br /> NEW BUSINESS—VARIANCE EXTENSION <br /> Applicant: Steve Fester, on behalf of Verizon Wireless <br /> Agenda Item: 6 (a) <br /> Background Information: Verizon Wireless received a Variance March 17, <br /> 2016 to exceed the building height limit in the Commercial District for small cell <br /> towers to be located in the Pequot Lakes School parking lot. Verizon Wireless <br /> failed to act on the Variance within the 6 month time limit, September 17, 2016. <br /> Applicable Regulations: <br /> Section 17-11.7 VARIANCES <br /> 9. Failure by the owner to act within 6 months on a Variance unless extended <br /> by the Board of Adjustment shall void the Variance. A second extension shall <br /> require a new public hearing. This provision shall apply to any Variance <br /> outstanding at the time of the Ordinance adoption. <br /> Staff Recommendation: We recommend that the extension to act on the <br /> Variance to be extended to March 17, 2017. <br /> Pequot Lakes Staff Report 6(a)-1 <br /> October 20,2016 <br />
