ROADS AND STREETS DEPARTMENT
`— MONTHLY REPORT
AUGUST 2005
• Many hours were spent on the North Sluetter Road issue. The road
issue evolved from the Island Vista plat. I met with the developer,
neighbors, and construction companies regarding the road condition. I
also spent time discussing and reviewing the issue with the Clerk's
office, Planning and Zoning, and the City Attorney. According to the
City Attorney, the plat cannot be denied because of the existing road
conditions.
• On Saturday, August, 13, 2005, Dave Sjoblad, the Mayor and I hosted
a meeting with the City Cullen Road area residents. About 20 people
attended the meeting. Many that could not attend sent comment
letters. We listened to the resident's concerns and will work them into
our future road plans.
• McGill construction was started and is nearly complete with only
erosion control and turf replacement left to be done.
• Evenson Road was blacktopped and is also nearly complete with some
shouldering left to do.
• My Liaison and I attended a meeting at Anderson Brothers Gravel Pit
with all local municipalities along Nelson Road and Wild Acres Road.
Anderson Brothers have proposed to resurface both roads at no cost to
the City. Ron Wickham will speak to the Council about this on
September 6th
Mike Loven
Maintenance Supervisor
