AGENDA ITEM #4 4 <br /> January 20, 2004 <br /> The Housing development Authority of Pequot Lakes met at Sibley Terrace on January <br /> 20, 2004. Chair Peterson called the meeting to order. Commissioners present: Peterson, <br /> Teie, Jurchen,Nagel. Also present: Director Thurlow and assistant Walsh. <br /> Minutes were read and approved. M/Teie, S/Nagel. M/carried. <br /> Bills were reviewed and approved for payment as follows: <br /> M/Teie, S/Nagel to approve Sibley Terrace bills and transfer funds from savings to pay <br /> the deficit. <br /> M/Jurchen, S/Teie to approve payment of the Parkview bills. M/carried. <br /> M/Teie, S/Nagel to approve payment of the Alpine bills. M/carried. <br /> Agenda: Sibley Terrace <br /> 1. The Director gave a report on the West Grove Townhome Project. A Builders <br /> Risk policy taken out by NorSon has been received. Title Insurance has been <br /> issued through Complete Title. A Consolidation Form has been drafted by the <br /> County Auditor's office and given to Planning and Zoning as requested. Things <br /> are on hold until Norson comes in for the permit. The Trust Administrator has <br /> asked for copies of two resolutions and the names of Board members. <br /> 2. The Director requested she be allowed to take bids for garbage hauling. It seems <br /> there is a need for twice-weekly pick-up at Sibley Terrace now, since the <br /> dumpster was replaced with a smaller one. It has been difficult to work with the <br /> local hauler who has had the HRA's business for the duration. The Director <br /> would be interested to see what other haulers are charging and how they operate. <br /> The Board concurred,but the chair felt the current hauler should be told. <br /> 3. The Kiser lot trailers were demolished this past week. The bill was received from <br /> Gravdahl Demolition, and the lot is now cleaned up. Landecker has completed <br /> the survey. The city will be sent the demolition bill,per their agreement to pay <br /> expenses up to $3,000. The next step towards getting the two new homes built is <br /> to appear before P &Z with a request for a lot split. The application and$300 has <br /> been sent in and we will be on the Feb. 19`x'meeting. <br /> 4. The Capital Fund Plan for 2004 has been submitted electronically. The PHA has <br /> received Bonus Capital Fund money for 2003. <br /> 5. The Director will be obtaining bids for flooring throughout the commons areas, <br /> and Capital Fund money remaining from 2003 will be used. <br /> 6. A vacancy has occurred at Sibley Terrace. The tenant has been a long-time <br /> resident. M/Nagel, S/Peterson to refund the deposit less any charges for <br /> cleaning. <br />
