Kay Spizzo motioned to eliminate the individual $4 card option, Tom <br /> Adams seconded the motion and it was carried by the group unanimously. <br /> Public restroom signs and signs for the Cozy Corner are ordered and will be arriving <br /> shortly. <br /> There has been a request to expand the library's hours over the weekend, due to our <br /> public bathroom availability. This city is looking into closing off the back storage room <br /> in the Children's area of the library in order to open up a public restroom with an outdoor <br /> entrance that people can use when the library is not open. The board agreed this plan is <br /> not ideal. One way to avoid this may be to expand the library's weekend hours.Nancy <br /> Adams -the volunteer coordinator-was brought in for this discussion. The proposal <br /> would expand Saturday hours to 4pm(currently we close at 1pm on Saturdays)and add <br /> hours on Sunday from 10am-2pm. The board was unanimously opposed to the library <br /> adding Sunday hours. We did agree to a trial period of expanded hours, Saturdays until <br /> 4pm, in order to see what kind of traffic the bathrooms actually would draw in by being <br /> open during that time.Nancy sent out an email looking for volunteers to help with the 2 <br /> people who currently cover all Saturday shifts by rotating weekends. <br /> Adjournment <br /> Meeting was adjourned at 8:20pm by President Melissa Birch.
