CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES <br /> ORDINANCE #198 <br /> AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING RULES AND REGULATION FOR THE BIRCH <br /> LANE CARTWAY IN THE CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF PEQUOT LAKES DOES HEREBY ORDAIN: <br /> SECTION 1: PURPOSE <br /> This Ordinance is intended to promote the health, general welfare and safety of <br /> the residents of Pequot Lakes and the motoring public upon the local road <br /> system. <br /> SECTION 2: RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE BIRCH LANE CARTWAY <br /> 1. The cartway is open from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily <br /> 2. No alcoholic beverages are allowed in the cartway area. <br /> 3. All litter and garbage must be placed in garbage cans. <br /> 4. No dogs or pets are allowed on the cartway. <br /> 5. No parking shall obstruct traffic or interfere with private property or <br /> private driveways. <br /> 6. No fires are allowed on the cartway. <br /> 7. No watercraft or motorized vehicles are allowed on the cartway or <br /> cartway shore. <br /> 8. Any person using the cartway area must act in a peaceful and <br /> orderly manner. Loud or disruptive behavior or loud amplification <br /> which would constitute a nuisances is hereby expressly prohibited. <br /> 9. No camping is allowed on the cartway. <br /> SECTION 3: ENFORCEMENT <br /> Failure to comply with any provisions listed in this Ordinance shall constitue a <br /> misdemeanor. <br /> SECTION 4: SEPARABILITY <br /> Should any section, clause or provision of this Ordinance be declared by a court <br /> of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, the same shall not affect the validity of this <br /> Ordinance as a whole or any part thereof, except that part so declared to be <br /> invalid. <br /> 1 <br />
