ORDINANCE 06-08 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 6.3 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE TO CORRECT INCONSISTENCIES AND ADD IMPERVIOUS COVERAGE LIMITS. The City Council of the City of Pequot Lakes does ordain as follows: Section 1. Purpose and Intent. The purpose and intent of this ordinance is to amend Section 6.3 Recreational Vehicle Resort Overlay District (RV). Section 2. Section 6.3, subpart 1, shall be amended to read as follows: 1. Purpose and Intent: The Recreational Vehicle Resort Overlay District (RV) is intended to provide for Recreational Vehicle Resort developments and individual ownership of sites within such developments. The intent is to allow for economically feasible options for such uses and to designate areas in the City where developments of this type are appropriate to maintain the character of the underlying zoning district and to be compatible with the surrounding neighborhood. Section 3. Section 6.3, subpart 3, shall be amended to read as follows: 2. Standards. All Recreational Vehicle Resort developments applying for conditional permit within the Recreational Vehicle Resort Overlay District must meet the criteria and standards set forth in Section 8.4 Campgrounds/Campsites and Section 8.2 Planned Unit Development of this Ordinance in addition to the standards contained in this Section of the Ordinance, unless otherwise indicated herein or waived by the Planning Commission. Section 4. Section 6.3, subpart 4, shall be amended to read as follows: 4. Impervious Coverage. The maximum impervious coverage for properties falling within the Recreational Vehicle Resort Overlay District is 25%. Section 5. Section 6.3, subpart 5, shall be amended to read as follows: 5. Density. Within the overlay district, for the development of a Recreation Vehicle Resort, there shall be no density limitation. The minimum standards for site sizing and buffering contained in Sections 8.2 and 8.4 shall be strictly adhered to. Final density allowed shall be based on an evaluation of the criteria in Section 8.2 and Section 8.4 and an evaluation of the ability of the site to support the proposed level of density.
