CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES RESOLUTION <br /> WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the City Council of the <br /> City of Pequot Lakes that Burlington Northern, Inc. desires to donate <br /> allof its right, title and interest in and to the line of standard <br /> gauge railroad in the State of minnesota known as the Brainerd to <br /> Pine River line from mile post 1. 6 to mile post 32. 7 , together with <br /> all of Burlington Northern, Inc. ' s real estate, right-of-way, improve- <br /> ments, including rail, track material, buildings, signal and communi- <br /> cation equipment, all assignable or transferable rights, agreements, <br /> grants, franchises, licenses or other interests (hereafter Burlington <br /> Property) to a municipal corporation; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Pequot Lakes desires all of said Burlington <br /> Property located within the jurisdiction of the City for the orderly, <br /> and systematic development of the City of Pequot Lakes and in the <br /> best interests of said City; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED, by the City of Pequot Lakes <br /> to willingly and graciously accept all of the Burlington Property <br /> within the City of Pequot Lakes. <br /> IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, that after an opportunity to investigate <br /> the questions regarding the statutory, the regulatory and the practical <br /> implications of acquiring an additional amount of said Burlington <br /> Property, the City of Pequot Lakes would strongly consider accepting <br /> any portion of the Burlington Property not donated to other municipalities <br /> or Regional Railroad Authorities. <br /> Dated: August 6, 1986 CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES <br /> Larry Ha ter, Mayor <br /> ick Zar , C rk <br />
