RESOLUTION
The city of Pequot Lakes has considered the potential benefits of the
Minnesota Independent Equal Access Corporation. The opportunity for
access to competing long distance carriers, and therefore access to
those carriers' services and rate options, along with the opportunity
for our citizens to have access to the same telephone services as
residents and businesses in the metropolitan area makes the
Minnesota Independent Equal Access Corporation proposal very desirable.
Our community needs and deserves the same options and quality of
telecomiiunications service available in the urban areas of the state.
Without those services, our community is disadvantaged socially, and
from an economic development standpoint.
This resolution passed by a motion made by J. Schmidt. Motion seconded
by D. Good and unanimously carried. August 14, 1989.
R. L. Zart,
/firet,e
Clerk L. Halter Ma or
1-1V(247'
 Y Halter, Mayor
 1 '
