Schmidt and <br /> seconded by D. Headlee to declare the American Legion Post <br /> #49 in the City of Pequot Lakes as a community center. <br /> The motion was carried unanimously. <br /> This resolution was passed as the American Legion Post #49 <br /> serves as the major community center for the community. <br /> Among the organizations that meet and/or use the center <br /> without cost are: Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, <br /> 4-H, Lions, and other non-profit organizations. Other <br /> than the school this is the only facility in Pequot Lakes <br /> capable of providing for large banquet for various <br /> organizations.
