RESOLUTION <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Pequot Lakes duly <br /> assembled at their regular meeting, May 14, 1990, has recognized the <br /> potential traffic hazards created by the placement of the 35 mph <br /> speed limit signs on TH 371 ; and <br /> WHEREAS, these 35 mph signs are placed at different intervals <br /> on the North and South bound traffic lanes in relationship to the <br /> placement of the 55 mph traffic signs; and <br /> WHEREAS, the hazard created on the south end of the city by the <br /> pedestrian traffic from the school on Woodman Street; and <br /> WHEREAS, the potential hazard that would be created on the <br /> north end of the city with the proposed new access on Brune's Street; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, TH 371 in the City of Pequot Lakes is a highly travelled <br /> highway both during the summer and the school year; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council is concerned for the safety of it's <br /> citizens and visitors of the city; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City <br /> of Pequot Lakes is hereby requesting the MN Department of Transportation <br /> to move the 35 mph speed limit signs on TH 371 to the intersections <br /> of TH 371 and Section 15, and TH 371 and Section 10, in Crow Wing County. <br /> Dated: May 15, 1990 City of P not ake <br /> Larry Halter, a or <br /> y4 . •, a <br /> Terri Russell, Cit Clerk-Treas. <br />
