THE MAYOR HAS CALLED FOR A PUBLIC HEARING <br /> ON THE SUBMISSION OF SMALL CITIES <br /> ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM APPLICATION <br /> WHEREAS, the Pequot Lakes City Council is supportive of <br /> business growth which results in job creation and enhancement <br /> of the local tax base ; and <br /> WHEREAS, Pequot Lakes desires to make application to the <br /> Minnesota Department of Trade and Economic Development (MN <br /> DTED) to secure financing assistance for a proposed project <br /> by Electro Mechanical Industries ; and <br /> WHEREAS, the MN DTED has funds available through their <br /> Small Cities Economic Development Program to assist <br /> communities and businesses that are seeking to provide <br /> employment opportunities for low and moderate income persons , <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Pequot Lakes <br /> City Council will conduct a public hearing on February 7 , <br /> 1995 at 5 : 00 p.m. at City Hall to consider comments regarding <br /> the submission of a grant application to secure funds under <br /> the Small Cities Economic Development Program in order to <br /> facilitate a proposed project by Electro Mechanicl <br /> Industries. <br /> Mayor of equot Lakesâś“1 <br /> /14,a</ / " <br /> City Clerk <br />
