RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br /> OF PEQUOT LAKES, MINNESOTA, CONCERNING PROPOSED <br /> DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT AMENDMENTS AND TAX <br /> INCREMENT FINANCING PLAN ADOPTION <br /> OF THE CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES <br /> WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the Planning Commission <br /> of the City of Pequot Lakes, Minnesota (the "Commission" ) , the <br /> proposal by the City of Pequot Lakes, Minnesota, to expand its <br /> Development District No. 1 (the "Development District" ) ; amend <br /> the Development Program for the Development District to expand <br /> its goals, objectives, activities, and budgets; and adopt a tax <br /> increment financing plan for the City' s new Economic Development <br /> Tax Increment Financing District No. 1-3 within the Development <br /> District, in part to reflect such amended goals and development <br /> activities; all pursuant to such provisions of Minnesota <br /> Statutes, Sections 469 . 124 through 469 . 134 and 469 . 174 through <br /> 469 . 179, respectively, as may be applicable thereto <br /> (collectively, the "Plans" ) ; and <br /> WHEREAS, in 1995 the City took similar action for a proposed <br /> tax increment financing district No. 1-3 , but such district has <br /> never been certified by the County Auditor and the 1995 <br /> resolution will be repealed; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City is required by law to consult with the <br /> Commission on this matter and has requested that the Commission <br /> give any comment it may have on the Plans, and the Commission has <br /> reviewed the Plans : <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of <br /> the City of Pequot Lakes, Minnesota, that the Commission finds <br /> that the Plans conform to the general plan for the development or <br /> redevelopment of the City of Pequot Lakes as a whole . <br /> Adopted July 16 , 1996 . <br /> Chaff <br /> 322445.1 <br />
