RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the storm sewer <br /> improvement of Second Street between W. Woodman and Main Streets and Block 3, <br /> Cole's Plat between Oriole Street, Government Drive, E. Butler Street and CR 112, bids <br /> were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were <br /> received complying with the advertisement: <br /> Young Excavating, Inc., Hackensack, MN $125,547.25 <br /> J. R. Ferche, Inc. $163,176.45 <br /> Redstone Construction, Inc., Mora, MN $183,564.02 <br /> AND WHEREAS, it appears that Young Excavating, Inc., of Hackensack, MN is <br /> the lowest responsible bidder, <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br /> PEQUOT LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br /> 1. The mayor and clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the <br /> attached contract with Young Excavating, Inc., of Hackensack, MN in the name of the <br /> \.. City of Pequot Lakes for the storm sewer improvement of Second Street between W. <br /> Woodman and Main Streets and Block 3, Cole's Plat between Oriole Street, Government <br /> Drive, E. Butler Street and CR 112 according to the plans and specifications therefor <br /> approved by the city council and on file in the office of the city clerk. <br /> 2. The city clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all <br /> bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder <br /> and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> Adopted by the city council this 16th day of July, 1997. <br /> jSch , ayor <br /> C <br /> Terri Russell, City Clerk <br />
