� <br />�, <br />City of <br />Pequot <br />Lakes = - <br />AGENDA ITEM #10.1 <br />REPORT TO <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />Date: May 3, 2011 <br />Subiect: Chamber Electric Bill <br />Report: A couple of months ago the Chamber made the <br />City aware of an issue that they had become aware of <br />regarding an electric bill. The Chamber had been receiving <br />an electric bill since 1984 for a power pole located in the <br />park which now belongs to the City. The past seven year's <br />charges have added up to $4,853 (this was as far back as <br />the Power Company could go without researching the <br />archive records). <br />City staff inet to discuss options regarding this issue. Staff <br />offered a tentative proposal to the Chamber Board, <br />explaining that the Council would have to make the final <br />decision on this issue. The proposal is as follows: <br />The City would reimburse the Chamber for approximately <br />one-half of the last seven-year electric costs and continue <br />not charging the Chamber for water, unless a sprinkler <br />�' system is installed, at which time a separate water meter <br />
