RESOLUTION #03114 <br /> Council member,T Bolz-Andolshek introduced the following resolution and <br /> moved for its adoption: <br /> WHEREAS, the Paul Bunyan Amusement Center of Brainerd, MN is entering its <br /> final season of operation, and <br /> WHEREAS, the owner of Paul Bunyan Amusement Center, Donald McFarland, <br /> has made a public offer to donate the Paul Bunyan and Blue Ox statutes to a <br /> non-profit organization willing to pay the cost of moving them, and <br /> WHEREAS, Ron and Darlene Schaefer have stated that they will pay at least <br /> $10,000 of the moving costs, and <br /> WHEREAS, the statues of Paul Bunyan and Babe, the Blue Ox would enhance <br /> Pequot Lakes as a "destination" for visitors, <br /> BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of Pequot Lakes that if Pequot <br /> Lakes is selected as the appropriate recipient of the Paul Bunyan and Blue Ox <br /> statutes, the City will establish a committee to plan the logistics and act as fiscal <br /> agent to collect donations for the relocation costs. <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br /> Council member J. Johnson , and upon a vote being taken thereon, <br /> the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> M.Pfeiffer, D. Sjoblad, J. Johnson, J. Bolz-Andolshek, J.
