CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES <br /> RESOLUTION 07-30 <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING CONTRIBUTIONS FOR NOVEMBER, 2007 <br /> WHEREAS, The City of Pequot Lakes is generally authorized to accept contributions of real <br /> and personal property pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Sections 465.03 for the <br /> benefit of its citizens and is specifically authorized to accept gifts and bequests for <br /> the benefit of recreational service pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 471.17; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, The following persons and entities have offered to contribute the cash sums set <br /> forth below to the City: <br /> Name of Donor Amount Requested Use of Donation <br /> Patrons $216 Library Donations <br /> Patrons $27 Library Donations <br /> Patrons $50 Library Donations <br /> Thrivent Financial Lutherans $4,780 Library Matching Grant <br /> American Legion Club $1,000 Winch for Fire Department <br /> American Legion Auxiliary $1,200 Rescue Suits for Fire Department <br /> AgStar Financial Services $2,500 Fire Department Grant for Pagers <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PEQUOT <br /> LAKES, MINNESOTA that the contributions described above are hereby graciously accepted <br /> by the City of Pequot Lakes and shall be used as requested by the donors. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council expresses its gratitude to the donors of <br /> the gifts and grants. <br /> Adopted by the City Council of the City of Pequot Lakes this 3rd day of December, 2007. <br /> Cathy lecha, Mayor <br /> ATTEST: ` /2 <br /> Sandra A.
