CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES <br /> RESOLUTION 08-24 <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING CONTRIBUTIONS FROM <br /> AND JULY 25,2008 THROUGH AUGUST 15,2008 <br /> WHEREAS, The City of Pequot Lakes is generally authorized to accept contributions of real <br /> and personal property pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Sections 465.03 for the <br /> benefit of its citizens and is specifically authorized to accept gifts and bequests for <br /> the benefit of recreational service pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 471.17; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, The following persons and entities have offered to contribute the cash sums set <br /> forth below to the City: <br /> Name of Donor Amount Requested Use of Donation <br /> Harry Olson, Jr. $ 1,000.00 Library <br /> Patrons $ 25.00 Library <br /> Patrons $ 100.00 Library <br /> American Legion Club $ 500.00 General Fund Donation <br /> Lakeland Agency $ 200.00 Cole Building Donation <br /> Mark and Trudy Jurchen $ 100.00 Cole Building Donation <br /> Chuck Marohn $ 60.00 Park Donations <br /> Anonymous $ 40.00 Park Donations <br /> NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PEQUOT <br /> LAKES,MINNESOTA that the contributions described above are hereby graciously accepted <br /> ..- by the City of Pequot Lakes and shall be used as requested by the donors. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,that the City Council expresses its gratitude to the donors of <br /> the gifts. <br /> Adopted by the City Council of the City of Pequot Lakes 's 2nd day of September, 2008. <br /> Cathy ,, alecha, Mayor <br /> ATTEST: IIIIP.I <br /> Sandra A.
