EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BREEZY POINT Pursuant to due call and notice thereof,the regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Breezy Point,County of Crow Wing, Minnesota,was held on the 5th day of May,2008, at 7:00 p.m. Council Member Williams introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: Resolution #08-21 APPROVING THE INVESTIGATION OF NELSON ROAD SAFE SPEED DETERMINATION WHEREAS, the Public Works Director has identified a need to place certain speed along Nelson Road, from Buschmann Road at Ackerson Road, approximately 1 mile north to Wild Acres Road; and WHEREAS, City Council discussed the need for the Commissioner of Transportation to Investigate Nelson Road from Buschmann Road at Ackerson Road, 1 mile north to Wild Acres Road in Breezy Point to determine reasonable and safe speed. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BREEZY POINT, MINNESOTA: That the Public Works Department is hereby authorized to request the Commissioner of Transportation to make the necessary investigation to determine the reasonable and safe speed as provided in Section 169.14, Subdivision 5 of the Minnesota Statutes on the following Breezy Point City Street(s): Nelson Road 1.) From Buschmann Road at the intersection of Ackerson Road, approximately one (1) mile North to Wild Acres Road. Adopted by the Council this 5th day of May, 2008 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council Member Lee and, upon vote being taken thereon,the following voted in favor thereof: Weaver, Brothen, Sauer And the following voted against:None And the following members were absent:None WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted and was signed by the Mayor and attested to by the City Clerk.
