� SPECIAL MEETING OF THE PEQUOT LAKES CITY COUNCIL <br />TUESDAY, MAY 23, 2011 <br />PEQUOT LAKES CITY HALL <br />Members Present: Mayor Adams, Council Members Akerson, Sjoblad, Malecha, <br />and Ryan <br />Staff Present: Sandra Peine, City Clerk <br />1. Call Meeting to Order <br />Mayor Adams called the meeting of the Pequot Lakes City Council to <br />order at 6:30 p.m. <br />1.1 Pledae of Alleqiance <br />Mayor Adams led with the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />2. Consider Request for Final Plat Approval for Wilderness Resort <br />� MAYOR ADAMS MOVED TO APPROVE THE SECOND AMENDED <br />FINAL PLAT OF WILDERNESS RESORT VILLAS BASED ON THE <br />FINDINGS OF FACT LISTED IN THE MAY 20, 2011, LETTER TO THE <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL FROM COMMUNITY GROWTH INSTITUTE. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br />CARRIED 5-0. <br />Mr. Tom Steffans was present. <br />3. Consider Request by Fire Relief Association to Increase Retirement <br />Benefit Amount <br />The Mayor stated that this item has been withdrawn per request of the <br />Fire Relief Members. <br />4. Police Chief Update <br />Mayor Adams informed the Council the she and Council Member Ryan <br />gave met with Eric Klang to make a conditional offer of employment. She <br />noted the Mr. Klang accepted the conditional offer of employment which is <br />contingent on him successfully passing the background investigation and <br />required testing. <br />� <br />
