CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES <br /> RESOLUTION 11-10 <br /> RESOLUTION DELEGATING AUTHORITY FOR PAYMENT OF CERTAIN CLAIMS <br /> WHEREAS, the Pequot Lakes City Council delegates its authority to the City Clerk to pay <br /> certain claims made against the City; and <br /> WHEREAS, The City Clerk is authorized to make immediate payment of claims for those <br /> claims which are regular and recurring and where late fees or penalties cannot be <br /> avoided, with the following conditions. <br /> 1. A list of the claims that are regular and recurring in which penalties or late <br /> fees cannot be avoided shall be approved by Council. <br /> 2. Amendments to the list of claims shall be approved by Council. <br /> 3. Claims that have been paid in this manner shall be added to the check register <br /> for Council approval at the next regular Council meeting; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, Immediate payment of claims may be made when payment of a claim is based on <br /> a contract and cannot be deferred until the next Council meeting without loss to <br /> the City through forfeiture of discount privileges or otherwise, per State Statute <br /> 412.271, Subdivision 4, with the following conditions: <br /> 1. The claim must be endorsed by a majority of the Council members <br /> 2. The claim must be added to the check register for Council approval at the next <br /> regular Council meeting <br /> NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PEQUOT <br /> LAKES, MINNESOTA that the above procedures for immediate payment of claims shall be <br /> followed as stated. <br /> Adopted by the City Council of the City of Pequot Lakes this 5th day of April, 2011. <br /> Nancy A.
