<br />Re: Planning Commission Report
<br />Dear Mayor and City Council,
<br />The Planning Commission met for their regularly scheduled March meeting at which
<br />there were no public hearings.
<br />At the meeting, various business was discussed including the School District's proposal
<br />for a bus shelter in the Business/Industrial Park. The Planning Commission and
<br />members of the school board discussed the advantages and disadvantages of moving the
<br />bus shelter to the proposed location. There was also discussion regarding the current
<br />code, and how it does not allow for such a facility anywhere within the City. The
<br />Planning Commission and I will continue to work with the School Board and
<br />Superintendant to find an alternative site for the bus shelter.
<br />Final revisions to the Comprehensive Plan were made at the meeting based on feedback
<br />from community members. The Plan is scheduled for a public hearing next month.
<br />The Planning Commission is not forwarding you any recommendations at this time.
