Park Board Minutes <br /> September 13, 2007 <br /> Page 2 <br /> Discussed post & ropes to be placed around the park. Mike & Brian <br /> will meet in park to discuss where they should be placed and what <br /> supplies are needed. <br /> 5. Update on Bands by Mayor Malecha <br /> Minnesota Power donated $250 <br /> Air Force Band — Oct 5, 7:00 pm at the school — free <br /> MN National Guard — July 19 — 7:00 pm in the Park — free <br /> 6. Goals for 08' <br /> Discussion was held as to who will maintain the gardens in the city. <br /> Suggestion was made to place shrubs around gazebo and in gardens <br /> instead of flowers. These would be easier to maintain. Del will price <br /> shrubs at the nursery. <br /> Discussion was held regarding placement of barrel planters and <br /> stepping stones. <br /> Discussion was held regarding play ground equipment for Trailside <br /> North. Board was informed that all the equipment is at City Hall and <br /> staff is working on the installation. <br /> 7. Park Signs <br /> Board should start thinking about what size signs they would like to <br /> see for the Parks. We will discuss this at another meeting and will be <br /> one of the 2008 goals. <br /> 8. Garden Maintenance <br /> See Number 6. <br /> 9. Other Business <br /> Discussed how sod looks around the memorial. Sod is in good shape <br /> so the Board recommends leaving current sod as is until next year. <br /> Discussed fences around park to protect sod and planters at Bobber <br /> Park. Mike will be in charge of fences. <br />
