PEQUOT LAKES <br /> PARK COMMISSION <br /> THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 13, 2008 <br /> CITY HALL <br /> Members Present: Chair Tweed, Board Members Jurchen, Johnson, and <br /> DenHartog <br /> Staff Present: Mayor Malecha; Mike Loven, Maintenance Supervisor; <br /> Sandy Peine, City Clerk; and Nancy Adams, Mayor-Elect <br /> 1 . Call Meeting to Order <br /> Meeting was called to order at 4:00 p.m. by Chair Tweed <br /> 2. Approve Park Board Minutes <br /> Chair Tweed and Mayor Malecha noted a correction to the October 9, <br /> 2008, minutes. The correction related to park signs under number 5. The <br /> corrected language should state as follows: <br /> "A citizen from Crosslake has sent money to cover the costs of all the Paul <br /> Bunyan Footprint signs." <br /> MOTION WAS MADE BY BOARD MEMBER JURCHEN TO ACCEPT <br /> THE OCTOBER 9, 2008 MINUTES. JOHNSON SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> 3. Park Board Members <br /> DenHartog's Term Expires Dec. 31, 2008. DenHartog indicated he would <br /> be interested in serving another term. <br /> The Commission discussed the issue of still being short one member. <br /> After much discussion it was the consensus of the Commission to <br /> advertise for the position in the Echo. <br /> 4. Cole Memorial Building Use <br /> Clerk Peine stated that the Council has requested the Park Board to put a <br /> committee together to research possible uses of the Cole Memorial <br /> Building. Everett Johnson and Fay Tweed offered to be on the Committee. <br /> The Clerk stated that she would also invite a senior citizen, Angela <br /> Sandelin and possibly a couple others to also be on the committee. <br />
