Park Budget
The Park Commission reviewed the 2010 Park Budget. The Commission
talked about the recent success of the bands in the park program. It was
the consensus of the Commission that the program is important and that
in order to continue, more money needs to be budgeted. The Commission
decided to increase the Professional Services line item to $4,000 for
bands in the park program. The Commission also decided to decrease the
line item for Community Growth to $500.
7. He stated that at some point the park will need new and more
durable lights. It was the consensus of the Commissioners to begin saving
for the lights through the capital outlay carry over fund. It was also the
consensus to recommend to the Council that any excess park funds from
2009 be dedicated to the capital outlay carry over fund for light poles.
Mike Loven noted that the garden at the top of the steps at Sibley Lake
Park either needs to be cleaned up or taken down. The Commissioners
indicated they would take a look at the garden and let Mike know their
wishes at the next meeting.
8. Adjournment
