Park Board Minutes <br /> March 12, 2009 <br /> Page 2 <br /> to the Park Commission is $287.50 and the cost to the Women's Club is <br /> also $287.50. <br /> COMMISSIONER JOHNSON MOVED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE <br /> PURCHASE OF THE WOODEN WHISKEY BARREL PLANTERS FOR <br /> TRAILSIDE PARK WITH THE WOMEN'S CLUB IN THE AMOUNT OF <br /> $287.50. COMMISSIONER JURCHEN SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> 6. Park Brochure <br /> Commissioner DenHartog arrived at this time. Commissioner DenHartog <br /> updated the Commission on the progress of the park brochure. He noted <br /> that there will be a draft available at the April Park Commission meeting. <br /> 7. Other Business <br /> Mike Loven noted that South Oak Street is being rebuilt this year. He <br /> suggested that the Commission consider using this as an opportunity to <br /> build a parking lot for Gildner Park. It was the consensus of the <br /> Commissioners that a parking lot would be needed to make the area safe. <br /> The Commissioners decided to tour Gildner park in April and to further <br /> assess the need at that time. <br /> 9. Adjournment <br /> There being no further business, COMMISSIONER JOHNSON MOVED <br /> TO ADJOURN THE MEETING. COMMISSIONER DENHARTOG <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION.
