Paul BunyarCcenic Byway
“a
we ire
1 j *
NATIONAL SCENIC
BYWAYS PROGRAM
December 31, 2007
Dear Mayor and City Council:
Over the past several years during the months of January, February, March and April
representatives of the Paul Bunyan Scenic Byway Association(PBSBA)have given
regular updates to your city. The updates let you know about projects that have been
completed and those that are currently in progress, as well as anticipated future
activities. Thank you to those who have provided support over the years.
Additionally, these visits to your regularly scheduled monthly meetings offer us a
chance to learn from you how you see the PBSBA partnering with your city to
accomplish projects that are fun and useful for both of us. Over the years, city
partnerships have helped support projects such as the Interpretive Panels and the tear-
off map, as well as being a funds contributor toward organizational operations support.
Last year the PBSBA, recognizing that some jurisdictions had unusually full agendas
for a host of different reasons, offered two options for receiving the Byway updates:
• Byway representatives will give an update at one of your regular meetings, as
has been done in the past.
• Byway Association will send to you the information we would normally present
in person.
Please call or email the Paul Bunyan Scenic Byway Association by January 15,2008,to
let us know which option you prefer. If you would like representatives at one of your
meetings, it would be helpful if you could provide a couple choices for scheduling our
visit.
When you contact the PBSBA with your scheduling choice, please let us know if you
would like us to continue offering a free dinner for a representative from your
jurisdiction that wishes to attend the Byway's annual meeting each November.
You can call me at 218-543-4714 or email to info @paulbunyanscenicbyway.org.
Think you,
v'!i yin 'NC 2 1ir117 CCf)
Lyrth Scharenbroich, chair
Paul Bunyan Scenic Byway Association
PO Box 401
Pequot Lakes, MN 56472
