No matter what we do, it is going to be a attractive
nusaince so to speak. I went over the concept that you and I discussed and he did not have a problem with it.
Even with the ramp, we could have injuries and more importantly "Evil Kneivel" skateboarders who decide to use
the ramp. No matter what we do we could be held liable. We just want to reduce the risk.
So, if the Park Board agrees, put a couple of extra horizontal leg railings on the front(ladder affect) and some
form of a hand rail attached to one leg. This will make it easy and safer to climb. Also, if we post a sign, Joe
suggested that we word it"Climb at your own risk. This is not playground equipment. For phot opportunities
only." This would outline a specific use and somewhat clarify that they use the chair for that purpose at their own
risk.
Hope this helps! Please feel free to share a copy of this email with the Park Board.
Thanks so much for including us in the discussion.
Mark
Mark Jurchen, CLU, LUTCF
Lakeland Agency
Pequot Lakes, MN 56472
markCclakeland-agency.com
2/13/2008
