If tlie city does not nieet this federal exemption, then it must pay $7.25/hour for recreation '� <br />employees and tiine and one-lialf overtime for all hours �vorked over 40 in one workweek. If it <br />does meet this exemption, one or more of the follo�ving may apply: <br />. MN Statutes 177.23: The ciry is not required to pay minimum �vage/overtime to aYiy <br />individual tmder 18 working less tl�an 20 hours per �varkweek for a city as part of a <br />recreational program. <br />• MN Stattrtes 177.24: The city must pay employees �G.15/(iour or more if the city's <br />reveuties are $625,000 or more and at least $5.25/hour if the city's revenues are less than <br />$625,000. In addition, during the first 90 consecutive days of employmeiit, tlie ciry may <br />pay employees under the age of 20 a wage of $4.90/hour. <br />.
