Call Meeting to Order <br /> Meeting was called to order at 4:00 p.m. by Chair Tweed <br /> 2. Approve Park Commission Minutes <br /> MOTION WAS MADE BY COMMISSIONER CLEMENT TO APPROVE <br /> THE JULY 09, 2009, PARK COMMISSION MINUTES. COMMISSIONER <br /> JOHNSON SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 3. Consider Pursuing Ownership of Trailside Park — Request by Council <br /> Member Nagel <br /> Commissioner Jurchen asked if we purchased this area would it be <br /> considered a new park area or an existing park area. If it were considered <br /> a new park, park dedication money could be used. <br /> The Park Board agreed to table this item until the September meeting. <br /> 4. Cole Memorial Building Sign — (Invite Historical Society Members) <br /> Historical Society member Karen Bye attended the meeting and gave the <br /> Park Board some direction as to what they would like to see done with the <br /> sign. She suggested incorporating the bell, a bench, some boulders and <br /> the sign together. She also suggested removing the current sign. <br /> The Commission stated that the sign should be similar to the one in <br /> Bobber Park and should include trees and an up-north look. It was also <br /> suggested that the sign be angled it so it can be read from both sides <br /> when traveling Highway 371. <br />
