The city or township "is considered to have approved the classification and sale if the county <br /> board is not notified of the disapproval.....within 60 days of the date"of this letter. <br /> If you respond within 60 days and do not support the County Board's action, "the County Board shall then <br /> withhold the parcel(s)from public sale for six(6)months."(The 6 month withholding period is intended <br /> to give the city or town time to consider acquisition of the parcel(s)withdrawn from sale) <br /> According to MS 282.01,Subdivision 1,If the town or city"fails to submit an application and a <br /> resolution of the board or governing body to acquire the property within the six month withholding <br /> period,the county may offer the property for sale upon expiration of the withholding period" <br /> Please review the list of tax forfeited tracts,attached,and inform this Department of your approval or <br /> disapproval of the County Board's action to classify said tracts to a"non-conservation"status with <br /> intentions to sell at a future public auction. <br /> Maps have been enclosed to aid in your review. <br /> If you have any questions concerning this process,please advise. <br /> Thomas J. well <br /> Land Commissioner <br /> AN EQUAL OPPORT' .Y EMPLOYER <br />
