MEETING OF THE PEQUOT LAKES <br /> PARK BOARD <br /> THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 10, 2005 <br /> CITY HALL <br /> Members Present: Del Anderson, Faye Tweed, Ron Schaefer, Trudy Jurchen, <br /> and Melissa Samuelson <br /> Staff Present: Sandy Peine, City Clerk and Cathy Malecha, Mayor <br /> 1. Call Meeting to Order <br /> The meeting was called to order at 4:00 p.m. <br /> 2. Approve Minutes <br /> COMMISSIONER JURCHEN MOVED TO APPROVE THE SEPTEMBER <br /> 8, 2005, AND NOVEMBER 4, 2005 PARK BOARD MINUTES. <br /> COMMISSIONER SAMUELSON SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 3. Picnic Shelter <br /> Chair Anderson updated the Board Members on the progress of the picnic <br /> shelter. <br /> 4. Park Dedication <br /> Planning Consultant Lisa Barajas discussed the Park Board's role in <br /> reviewing final plats for park dedication. She explained that according to <br /> the Land Use and Subdivision Ordinance the Park Board is responsible for <br /> the following: <br /> A. To make recommendations to the Planning Commission on park <br /> dedication fees and/or land dedications within new subdivisions. <br /> B. To periodically review the Park Plan and Ordinances and consider <br /> their role in shaping the growth of a community and to recommend <br /> changes to the City Council of these documents to guide growth and <br /> current land use toward the goals of the Comprehensive Plan. <br />
