The park area on the North side of County Road 11 has taken on a new look <br /> thanks to the Pequot Lakes Park Board. The Brainerd Lakes Area Chamber of <br /> Commerce will be improving the area South of#11. <br /> Pequot Lakes is in need of Christmas lighting for our city. For many years huge wreaths <br /> have traditionally hung on the light posts of our city, but they finally fell apart. They had <br /> been purchased by the Chamber of Commerce previously. Brainerd Lakes Area <br /> Chamber of Commerce, however, will be doing park beautification and don't have funds <br /> to assist with purchasing new lights. The City, due to cut-backs and rising costs, is also <br /> unable to purchase necessary lighting to make a statement for our community during the <br /> holiday season. <br /> I am asking your business to be part of a donation drive to raise funds for the purchase of <br /> new Christmas lights for the city. These lights will give our retail and service businesses <br /> a pride in our downtown area this holiday season. <br /> Donations can be given to the City of Pequot Lakes/Park Department. Hopefully, we can <br /> raise enough money to purchase new lights and make this community shine during the <br /> holiday season.
