SPECIAL MEETING OF THE PEQUOT LAKES
PARK BOARD
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 4, 2005
CITY HALL
Members Present: Del Anderson, Faye Tweed, Ron Schaefer, and Melissa
Samuelson
Members Absent: Trudy Jurchen
Staff Present: Sandy Peine, City Clerk and Cathy Malecha, Mayor
Call Meeting to Order
The meeting was called to order at 2:00 p.m.
Del Anderson informed the members that the purpose of the meeting was
to discuss lighting up the park for the holidays. Cathy Malecha indicated
that she has received $1410 from area businesses. She said she was
hoping to get more money so that the City could purchase some type of
lighting on the light poles along the downtown area streets. The Park
Board felt that they should begin with lighting up the park this year and
work toward more lighting next year. Faye indicated that she would like all
white lights to promote a theme of"winter wonderland." The Board
discussed adding a color or colors to one tree and to the roof tops of the
gazebo and shelter.
Cathy stated that the lights should be up by Thanksgiving. The Park Board
concurred.
There being no further business, the Park Board adjourned at 2:45 p.m.
Respectfully Submitted,
Sandy Peine
City Clerk
