MEETING OF THE PEQUOT LAKES <br /> PARK BOARD <br /> THURSDAY, AUGUST 11, 2005 <br /> TRAILSIDE PARK <br /> Members Present: Del Anderson, Ron Schaefer, Trudy Jurchen, Faye <br /> Tweed, and Melissa Samuelson <br /> Staff Present: Mike Loven, Street Superintendent; Mayor Malecha; and <br /> Sandy Peine, City Clerk <br /> 1 . Call Meeting to Order <br /> Del Anderson called the meeting together at 9:00 a.m. <br /> 2. New Park Board Member <br /> Melissa Anderson was introduced as the new park board member. <br /> 3. Park Board Minutes <br /> COMMISSIONER JURCHEN MOVED TO APPROVE THE 7/26/2005 <br /> PARK BOARD MINUTES. COMMISSIONER SAMUELSON SECONDED <br /> THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 4. War Memorial <br /> Jack Schmidt was present to talk about the proposed war memorial. He <br /> reviewed the size of the memorial. The Board discussed the location and <br /> size of the memorial. After much discussion a location was chosen that <br /> was agreeable to all. <br /> CHAIR ANDERSON MOVED TO APPROVE THE SIZE OF THE WAR <br /> MEMORIAL(25' X 30' X 16-17') WITH THE INSIDE OF THE MEMORIAL <br /> NOT OVER 7" ABOVE GROUND ELEVATION. COMMISSIONER <br /> TWEED SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 5. Craft Sales in the Park — Bernice Rohde <br /> Discussion was held regarding craft sales in the park. The Park Board <br /> suggested that there be no water or electricity available on the City's side <br /> of the park and that there be no parking or driving east of the new path. <br /> Bernice indicated that she would give the crafters advanced notice of <br /> these rules. The Park Board indicated that they would be willing to help <br /> during the events if needed. <br />
