I <br /> MEETING OF THE PEQUOT LAKES <br /> PARK BOARD <br /> — THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 14, 2006 <br /> CITY HALL <br /> Members Present: Chair Anderson, Board Members Tweed, Jurchen, Koslofsky <br /> Members Absent: Board Member Samuelson <br /> Staff Present: Mayor Malecha; Sandy Peine, City Clerk; and Mike Loven, <br /> Street Maintenance Superintendent <br /> 1 . CALL MEETING TO ORDER <br /> Chair Anderson called the meeting together at 4:00 p.m. <br /> 2. PARK BOARD MINUTES <br /> COMMISSIONER JURCHEN MOVED TO APPROVE THE 8/10/2006 <br /> PARK BOARD MINUTES. COMMISSIONER TWEED SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> 3, BOBBER PARK <br /> Chair Anderson informed the Board members that he was contacted by <br /> Dave McMillan who is a teacher at the high school. Mr. McMillan will be <br /> having his students working on a school project that will relate to the <br /> Bobber Park. <br /> Chair Anderson gave an update on the Purple Heart Memorial. He noted <br /> that the memorial matched the color and style of the Veteran's Memorial. <br /> Chair Anderson indicated that the Council approved the concrete base for <br /> the Bobber Park. Discussion was held regarding the shape, color, and <br /> size of the concrete slab. <br /> 4. ARBOR DAY CELEBRATION <br /> Chair Anderson noted that Arbor Day was April 27th. The Board discussed <br /> several ideas to promote Arbor Day. It was the consensus of the Board to <br /> discuss this issue further at the November Park Board Meeting. <br />
