MEETING OF THE PEQUOT LAKES <br /> PARK BOARD <br /> THURSDAY, JANUARY 12, 2006 <br /> PEQUOT LAKES CITY HALL <br /> Members Present: Del Anderson, Trudy Jurchen, Faye Tweed, and Brian <br /> Koslofsky <br /> Members Absent: Melissa Samuelson <br /> Staff Present: Mayor Malecha, Kurt Eckardt, Street Maintenance; Sandy <br /> Peine, City Clerk; and Chuck Marohn, Planning Consultant <br /> 1 . Call Meeting to Order <br /> Del Anderson called the meeting together at 4:00 p.m. <br /> 2. Park Board Minutes <br /> COMMISSIONER JURCHEN MOVED TO APPROVE THE 11/10/2005 <br /> PARK BOARD MINUTES. COMMISSIONER TWEED SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> 3. Appoint Chair and Vice Chair <br /> CHAIR ANDERSON MOVED TO NOMINATE FAY TWEED AS VICE <br /> CHAIR. COMMISSIONER KOSLOFSKY SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> COMMISSIONER KOSLOFSKY MOVED TO NOMINATE DEL <br /> ANDERSON AS CHAIR. COMMISSIONER TWEED SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> 5. Future Projects <br /> Discussion was held regarding Sibley Park. It was noted that the steps <br /> need repair and that there should be a garbage can at the park. Mayor <br /> Malecha indicated that the DNR will split the cost to blacktop the boat <br /> landing at the park. <br /> Vandalism at the Sibley Lake Park was discussed. It was suggested that <br /> the Police Department patrol the park and actually walk down to the lake <br /> once in awhile to try to prevent the vandalism. <br /> The following projects were listed as priorities for 2006: <br /> • Sprinkler System for Trailside Park <br /> • Black Dirt for Trailside Park <br />
