COMMISSIONER CLEMENT SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> It was the consensus of the Commissioners to request the Echo to publish <br /> an article on this subject and to thank Mr. Salfisberg and all other donors <br /> in the article. <br /> 4. Playground Equipment at Gildner Park <br /> The Clerk informed the Commissioners that the Council authorized the <br /> use of park dedication funds to complete Gildner Park. <br /> COMMISSIONER JURCHEN MOVED TO PROCEED WITH THE <br /> CONSTRUCTION OF THE PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT. <br /> COMMISSIONER CLEMENT SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 5-0. <br /> Commissioner DenHartog suggested using the old platform that was used <br /> for the Paul Bunyan Chair at Bobber Park. The commissioners concurred. <br /> 5. Paul Bunyan Chair <br /> Pete reported that he did not have any luck in trying to find out what <br /> product was used to stain the chair. The Commissioners suggested asking <br /> Bob Peterson from Thurlow Hardware to take a look at the chair to see if <br /> he would have any ideas. The chair is in poor shape and needs to be <br /> refinished. <br /> 6. Chokecherry Trees <br /> Cathy Malecha stated that 110 Chokecherry Trees have been sold. The <br /> Commission Members concurred that more trees had to be sold. Mike <br /> Loven asked where the unsold trees should be planted and requested <br /> ideas on where to plant the donated trees. <br /> The Commission asked where the City was with proclaiming Pequot <br /> Lakes as the Chokecherry Capitol of the State. It was suggested that this <br /> be put on the next Council agenda for consideration. <br /> 7. Park Brochures <br /> The Commissioners thanked Jamie and his wife for the work on the <br /> brochures. It was suggested that we place these in area restaurants, <br /> resorts, and the Chamber of Commerce. <br /> 8. Other Business <br />
