The Park Commission suggested better
signage along the Paul Bunyan Trail and the need for more garbage cans.
Sue said she would be talking to the DNR about better signage, however,
the DNR has stated that garbage cans along the trail would be a city
issue.
Sue stated that the Chamber wants to work with City and Park
Commission toward this endeavor. The Commission concurred that this
was important and stated that when future projects are considered, the
Commission will also take into consideration bicyclists.
The Commission asked about grant money. Sue suggested going to the
web site Bicyclefriendlycommunity.org to look for grant opportunities.
Sue informed the Park Commission that Pequot Lakes is hosting the MS
Tram in July which will bring 1,000 bicyclists in town.
