Park Commission Minutes <br /> April 8, 2010 <br /> Page 2 <br /> 4. Playground Equipment for Trailside Park <br /> A. Committee Members: <br /> Mayor Adams reported that she contacted MnDOT regarding permission <br /> to use MnDOT right-of-way for the playground if necessary. MnDOT <br /> suggested that the City contact them when the Park Commission has <br /> plans for the playground. It seems MnDOT is willing to work with the City. <br /> The Mayor reported that the committee will include Everett Johnson, Pete <br /> Clement, Chamber Representative (Lisa Paxton), Mayor Adams, and <br /> Kathy Moore who is a representative of the Business Community <br /> B. Set Date for Committee Meeting <br /> The committee will meet in a couple of weeks. <br /> 5. Playground Equipment Plan for Gildner Park <br /> The Park Commission made a site visit at Gildner Park. It was decided <br /> that the Street Department would measure off areas where playground <br /> equipment could be placed. Chair Tweed and Commissioner Malecha <br /> stated they would look at playground equipment and make a <br /> recommendation to the Park Commission. Commissioner Jurchen <br /> requested to be informed by e-mail of the recommendation. <br /> 6. Chokecherry Trees <br /> Update by Council Member Malecha. Orders are being taken for the trees. <br /> 7. Park Brochures <br /> Commissioner DenHartog said he would have a draft completed by next <br /> week. <br /> 8. Other Business <br /> Chair Tweed said it was time to make arrangements to plant flowers at <br /> Bobber Park. She also noted that the Cole Building needs some type of <br /> plants on each side of the entry. Mayor Adams said that we will have to <br /> get some dirt for planting at the Cole Memorial Building. Discussion was <br /> held regarding a permanent bench at the Cole Building. It was noted that a <br /> sign could be placed on the bench regarding the museum. Mike Loven <br /> stated that the City could make two benches for the building. <br />
