Inventory of Existing Parkland: <br /> Pequot Lakes currently has five park areas with 9.5 acres of parkland, which includes <br /> Sibley Lake Park, Trailside Park (center of town), Gildner Park, Trailside North Park, <br /> and Bobber Park. The Historic Fire Tower, while owned by the DNR, is maintained by <br /> the City. Additional recreational facilities are available during non-school hours at the <br /> Pequot Lakes Middle School/High School complex. <br /> The following provides a description of each park. Proposed recommendations are based <br /> on a park assessment completed by members of the Park Commission and City staff. <br /> TRAILSIDE NORTH PARK—Mini Park: <br /> Assessment: <br /> This .54 acre park is classified as a mini-park, located off County Road 112 in the <br /> Trailside Estates subdivision. The park includes playground equipment, swings, benches, <br /> picnic table, barbeque grill, gazebo and bike racks. The park area is grass covered with <br /> some trees located in the park.
