Park Board Minutes <br /> May 9, 2013 <br /> Page 4 <br /> MOTION BY COMMISSIONER ETTESVOLD TO HAVE THE STREET <br /> DEPARTMENT BUILD THE SWITCHBACK. COMMISSIONER BRUCH <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> Dog Park <br /> Discussion was held about the possibility of a dog park at the South end of <br /> the park. It was the consensus of the Commission to contact Wes Wilson's <br /> daughter to assist in drawing up a plan for the dog park. Commissioners <br /> Gibbons and Ettesvold volunteered to meet with Mr. Wilson's daughter <br /> prior to the next Park Commission meeting to discuss the concept of a dog <br /> park at Sibley Lake Park. <br /> Dock at Sibley Lake <br /> It was the consensus of the Commissioners to not move the dock at this <br /> time. <br /> Steps North of the Fishing Pier <br /> It was the consensus to remove the nails and remove one step. <br /> Toilets <br /> Discussion was held on the condition of the toilets. No action taken. <br /> 7. Bobber Park — Flowers <br /> Commissioner Ettesvold stated that she will take care of planting the <br /> plants in the planters at Bobber Park. She suggested New Guinea <br /> Impatience. <br /> 8. Other Business <br /> Splash Park <br /> Chair Malecha stated that people in the community are wondering if we <br /> going to move forward with a Splash Park. If so, we need to find a <br /> location. The Commission discussed the issue and felt that a good <br /> location would be at the corner across from SNAP Fitness. Chair Malecha <br /> noted that Council Member Sjoblad has heard from the banks that they <br /> would be willing to donate toward this purchase. It was the consensus that <br /> where ever it will be located there will be a need for a bathroom. Size was <br /> also discussed. <br /> 7. Adjournment <br /> There being no further business, COMMISSIONER BRUCH MOVED TO <br /> ADJOURN THE MEETING. COMMISSIONER ETTESVOLD SECONDED <br /> THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> The meeting adjourned at 5:15 p.m. <br />
