PEQUOT LAKES PARK COMMISSION <br /> THURSDAY, MARCH 14, 2013 <br /> CITY HALL <br /> Members Present: Commissioners Karen Ettesvold, Jeff Bruch, and Josh <br /> Gibbons <br /> Members Absent: Cathy Malecha and Craig Nagel <br /> Also Present: Sandy Peine, City Clerk; Scott Pederson, Council Member <br /> 1. Call Meeting to Order <br /> Jeff Bruch called the meeting to order. <br /> 2. 2/14/2013 Park Commission Minutes <br /> COMMISSIONER GIBBONS MOVED TO APPROVE THE 2/14/2013 <br /> PARK COMMISSION MINUTES. COMMISSIONER ETTESVOLD <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 3-0. <br /> 3. Flower Barrels <br /> The Commission referred to a memo from Dawn Bittner regarding <br /> comments from the Planning Commission on flower barrels and flower <br /> gardens in Trailside Park. The Park Commission noted that the flower <br /> barrels have been addressed. The City will be purchasing the plants and <br /> planting the barrels. The barrels will be placed on the sidewalk near <br /> businesses and the business owners will maintain the barrels. As for the <br /> gardens, the Park Commission decided to wait until spring to walk the <br /> park and look at the gardens. There may be some gardens that can be <br /> eliminated. <br /> 4. Bands in the Park Update <br /> The Clerk noted that all summer weekends have been booked for the <br /> Bands in the Park program. Commissioner Bruch thanked the City Staff <br /> for organizing the program. <br /> 5. Park Brochure <br /> The Clerk presented a draft Park brochure by Scott Pederson. Scott <br /> Pederson explained the changes that were made from last year's <br /> brochure. The Commissioners reviewed the brochure and suggested <br /> some changes to the brochure. The Commissioners thanked Scott for <br /> designing the brochure. <br /> 6. Mayo Lake Nature Preserve <br />
