He was not in, so I spoke with Justin Burslie, most often our
P &Z contact. I did the following:
1. Described the Council & Park Board's desire to improve Sibley Lake Park.
2. Asked if working with us on this project could be done as part of our contract with Community
Growth at no additional charge. Justin felt this would certainly be done at no charge as part of our
contract.
3. Worked out a timeline that I will present to the Park Board at their next meeting on February 14,
2013, at 4 p.m.:
A. Inform the Park Board of Community Growth's willingness to help with Sibley Lake Park
Project
B. In February and March, solicit ideas from the Park Board of what they would like to have
happen at the park (their vision for the park)
C. On Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at 11 a.m. meet at the park with Chuck Marohn, Justin
Burslie, Nancy Adams, Dawn Bittner, Tyler Gardner(if possible), and any park board
members available (plus any other interested parties)to walk the park and gather ideas
D. Chuck and Justin will take ideas and develop a drawing/plan for the park
E. They will present their drawings at the Thursday, April 11, 2013, Park Board Meeting
I do hope this will meet with everyone's approval. It seems to follow our goal of moving along one of the
Council visions—and, better yet, will hopefully be done without additional expense. We are in no way
obligated to use the plan their develop; it can be used as is, changed or modified as we may like, or could
be discarded totally—but at least it is a start!
Nancy
2/8/2013
