Park Commission Minutes <br /> November 12, 2015 <br /> Page 2 <br /> 6. Gildner Park Book Stand <br /> Dawn Bittner had contacted Community Ed regarding any rules for the Red Book <br /> Shelf. The books are placed in the red bin for families to take home and enjoy. <br /> The books are replaced as necessary. Books can be donated. <br /> The sign on the book stand may need to be improved in the spring to eliminate <br /> confusion. <br /> 7. Winter Park Commission Meetings <br /> It was the consensus of the Park Commission to meet in December, and to <br /> cancel the January and February, 2016 meetings. If an important issue should <br /> arise a special meeting will be called. <br /> 8. Light Up The Night Parade <br /> The Park Commission will participate in the parade. The regular December 10th <br /> meeting will be held and the Commission will decorate the float in the garage <br /> immediately afterward. Dawn Bittner was directed to contact the Police Chief to <br /> reserve space to store the float until the time of the parade on the 12th. The <br /> Commissioners will donate decorations and Mike Loven will provide two trees <br /> with stands. <br /> 9. Other Business <br /> Commissioner Bruch provided a picture of approximately 20 bikes parked in <br /> Trailside Park. Several groups of bikes were noted. Bike racks are needed in <br /> Trailside Park. <br /> Commissioner Ronning noted the grant application provided by Mark Jurchen <br /> contained a deadline date of 2015. Staff assured him that Mr. Jurchen is on top <br /> of it. <br /> 10. Adjournment <br /> There being no further business, COMISSIONER BRUCH MOVED TO <br /> ADJOURN THE MEETING. COMISSIONER ETTESVOLD SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> The meeting adjourned at 5:36 p.m. <br />
