Mike Loven pointed out that steps could be added at the <br /> south end of the trail for access or it could be graded and left natural. <br /> COMMISSIONER RONNING MOVED TO REMOVE EXISTING STEPS, RE- <br /> VEGETATE HILLSIDE TO PREVENT EROSION, MOVE FISHING PIER TO <br /> THE NORTH, BUILD NEW STEPS TO PIER AND IMPROVE WALKWAY. <br /> COMMISSIONER BRUCH SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 6- <br /> 0. <br /> It was the consensus of the Commission to leave the area as natural as possible. <br /> The step plan will be revisited in September. <br /> 5. Signaqe — Dru's Garden and Dog Park <br /> Mile Loven presented drawings for signs at Dru's Garden, the Dog Park and the <br /> Memorial. They will be cedar signs for a cost of $380.00. <br /> COMMISSIONER NORDBY MOVED TO ACCEPT THE WOOD SIGNS AND <br /> COST. COMMISSIONER ETTEESVOLD SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 6-0. <br /> 6. Other Business <br /> The playground parking area at Trailside Park was discussed. Mike Loven will <br /> report on his progress to gain permission to install asphalt with curb at an <br /> upcoming meeting. <br /> The garden at the south end of Trailside Park was discussed. Commissioner <br /> Ettesvold reported that the Treehouse has taken out some of the day lilies and <br /> planted bushes in the center. <br /> Sandy Peine advised the Commission that invitations will be sent out for the <br /> August 1 ribbon cutting for the Adams Family Playground. <br /> Commissioner Bruch stated his disapproval of the Council moving forward with <br /> the expensive bathroom in the park. He may draft a letter to the Council once <br /> the bids are received. <br />
