WSN Proposal for Design of Trailside Park Restrooms
Commissioner Ronning reviewed the specifics of the restrooms that he and Chair
Malecha viewed in Baxter. He noted that after viewing a larger restroom facility
he and Chair Malecha would be recommending a two stall restroom as they both
felt that a one stall per restroom would not be sufficient. The Park Commission
discussed the restroom size and concurred that a one stall would not work
especially when considering the future use of the facility. The Commission talked
about the design of the facility and were in agreement that the style that was
presented would work as it is easy to clean, made of good materials, and graffiti
resistant.
The Clerk provided an excel spreadsheet that provided possible funding options
for the restroom. The Commission understood that the cost for the two stall
facility is more than what was budgeted but felt it would be a mistake to build the
two stall facility.
COMMISSIONER RONNING MOVED TO APPROVE THE DESIGN OF THE
BUILDING WITH TWO STALLS FOR WOMEN AND TWO STALLS FOR MEN
AND TO APPROVE THE FUNDING SOURCES PROVIDED BY CITY STAFF.
COMMISSIONER BRUCH SECONDED THE MOTION.
