PEQUOT LAKES PARK COMMISSION <br /> THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 12, 2015 <br /> CITY HALL <br /> Members Present: Commissioners Bruch, Caouette, Ettesvold, Nagel, and Ronning <br /> Members Absent: Chair Malecha and Commissioner Nordby <br /> Also Present: Mike Loven, Public Works Supervisor; Greg Karr, Council Liaison; <br /> and Dawn Bittner, Zoning Specialist <br /> 1. Call Meeting to Order <br /> Commissioner Ronning called the meeting to order at 5:03 p.m. <br /> 2. Consider Agenda <br /> COMMISSIONER BRUCH MOVED TO APPROVE THE AGENDA. <br /> COMMISSIONER NAGEL SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED <br /> 5-0. <br /> 3. Park Commission Minutes <br /> COMMISSIONER NAGEL MOVED TO APPROVE THE SEPTEMBER 10, 2015 <br /> PARK COMMISSION MINUTES AS READ. COMMISSIONER CAOUETTE <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 4. Mayo Lake Nature Preserve <br /> Mike Loven explained Tom Beaver requested the City to groom the cross country <br /> ski trails along Wilderness Road; the DNR has stated the ski trail needs to be <br /> supported by a civic organization. Mr. Beaver would also like to be involved in <br /> the design of a cross country ski course around Mayo Lake Park. Mr. Loven <br /> further stated the trails along Wilderness Road are on private property. The City <br /> will meet with Mr. Beaver when he returns from vacation in December. <br /> Staff explained there had been no directive from the Council. This will be placed <br /> on an upcoming Agenda, if necessary. <br /> 5. Master Park Plan <br /> Staff reported the City Council unanimously approved moving forward with Phase <br /> One, the design phase, at their October 6, 2015 Council meeting. <br />
